Wild vs. Civilization

I heard some crackling of leaves on the ground, so I look out the window, and this is what we saw. I like the fact that we live on the greenbelt, because we have the chance to watch the herd of turkeys in their adventures. It is also a good learning experience for the kids. Nature and the 'wild' is right at our door. We even have some wild wolves living close by. We haven't seen any, but since we have the Maidu Indian Interepitive Center close by, and others have seen them.

Mary-
I have seen The Birds. But these ones are nicer. We have been within a couple of feet without them bothering us. I just tell the kids that they have to be quiet and respect their space.

Very cool. Maybe Jeff and I will get to see them one of the times we are in town. Then we can mark them off in our bird books!

Have you not seen the mess they can leave all over your driveway? lol My mom lives not far from you in a community where we always have to share the road. The teenaged ones are the worst! lol They are so obnoxious and take their sweet time crossing in front of you. Oh well, the grandkids love seeing them! :=)

How cool is that! That is awesome to look out the window and see these birds. I bet the kids just love watching them.

I scrolled down and saw you accidentally deleted your blog. Ouch! I'm so sorry. I would feel like crying, too. I hope you find a way to restore.
