In Mourning...

... at this time we as a family are mourning the loss of beloved memories. Down in Southern Ca. (Santa Barbara), there have been a number of fire start up recently. One in particular had us worried, the Tea Fire. My aunt has lived on a mountain for the past 60 years or so, and so many memories and love have been lost. We were very thankful that she was able to make it off the mountain just in the nick of time. Her friends had called, asked if she needed to evacuate off the mountain, she did, so they went and got her. Not even 15 minutes of her beloved friends coming to her rescue, they closed the roads to get to her place. I just got off the phone with my mom, who just informed me that, my aunt's place, as well as all her neighbors' homes have been destroyed. We ask that you all keep my aunt and our family in your prayers at this time. We are very grateful that her life was spared from this tragedy, but sad to see all of the memories, heirlooms and treasures were lost.

I know what a difficult thing this is to go through. My mom lost her house years ago to a fire and I brought her and my little sister to live with us until her home could be rebuilt. I'm hoping things are getting better for your aunt...please keep us updated!
